Warnings
Not to be used during pregnancy, while nursing, for prolonged periods, or in excess of recommended amounts.
Not recommended in cases of hypertension, liver deficiency, very high blood pressure, diabetes, nausea, vomiting, severe kidney insufficiency, and hypokalemia; may potentiate potassium depletion of thiazide diuretics and stimulant laxatives, as well as the action of cardiac glycosides, and cortisol.
Take with caution in cases of diarrhea, abdominal distention, asthma, or emphysema.
